Junior ELY (Erie Lutheran Youth)6-8th Graders
will be meeting June 9th-August 4th at St. Johns Lutheran Church from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
5:30 - 5:45 PM Gathering and Refreshments
5:45 - 6:00 PM Parent and Youth meeting (mandatory)
6:00 - 6:30 PM Ice-breakers and bible study
6:30 - 7:30 PM Games, Pool and Crafts


About the ELP In January 2009, St. Johns became a member of the Erie Lutheran Parish. The Parish is composed of eight ELCA congregations in the city of Erie. (These congregations are naturally drawn tighter by the fact that they share many common issues and opportunities for ministry.
The other churches include:

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lamb of God Lutheran Church, Luther Memorial Church Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, New Jerusalem Church, St. Matthews Lutheran Church, St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

There are four guiding principles that form the ministry as it evolves:

The Erie Lutheran Parish seeks to serve God in Erie, mirroring the merciful, saving grace of God through Jesus Christ, and to be the church, sent by the Holy Spirit into the city, proclaiming by word and deed that gracious love that God provides.

ELP is dedicated to growing the Lutheran presence in Erie.
ELP is committed to the growing of disciples.
ELP is dedicated to the continuation and enhancement of identified ministries, and to seek new expression of Gods grace in our community.

Erie Lutheran Youth
Have you heard about ELY? Are you a senior high student? ELY is a joint youth program for the senior high youth (9-12 Grade) of the Erie Lutheran Parish. ELY meets once a month for fellowship, bible study and service.
